With an all Canadian line up of various entertainment, the day has a non-stop line up!

Open Ceremonies begin at 11:00 right after the Parade and we are pleased to have local dignitaries present and Canada Day Cupcakes are always more than enough to go around.

Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast

Our local Lion’s Club kicks off Canada Day Celebrations with a terrific pancake breakfast beginning at 8:00.  Pancakes, sausages, coffee and good friends all with our usual dose of Shuwsap sunshine and you have all the fixings for a starting the day our right!

We begin with a large collection of antique Show and Shine Cars and our floats are both local and from afar carrying dignitaries, characters and entertainment.

Jukebox is a dance band that plays tunes from the 60s all the way to today’s contemporary music. Their core group has been together for about five years and they have rhythm, lead, bass guitar, drums and a keyboard. They are a versatile group and proudly play music for all generations.

JL Chainsaw – Carving Demonstration

Jerry Levesque local chainsaw carver extraordinaire will be on the field.  Come and check him out while he demos on the Canada Day Field!

Lost N Found is a 5 piece country band from the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna BC generating tasteful 3 part harmonies, melodic mandolin, foot stomping rhythms and of course that good ol’ country twang. Deriving their sound from traditional country, alternative and new country which is well represented in their original music. They are sure to bring a party and as is the way of country music will get you feeling really high or really low.

The Serious Dogs Dance Band members are Mark Petri {vocals & guitar}, Jim Cochran {guitar, mandolin & vocals} from Kamloops, Brenden Majerech {bass & vocals} a Sorrento boy and the youngest lad in the band, Jim Johnston {keyboards, sax & vocals} calls Salmon Arm home! On this occasion we have special guest drummer Rob Gretsinger from Kamloops! Playing a wide variety of tunes Classic Rock, Country and Roots style music spanning many decades! Time for some fun!

Fireworks!

We light up the skies beginning around 10:30pm with a spectacular display of fireworks set to music. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, kick back and take in the fantastic fireworks as they burst above you.

For safety reasons, the No Go Zone is in effect from 6:00 until the all clear is given at the end of the fireworks show. This means that there is NO PARKING on Blind Bay Road from the Blind Bay Resort to Marine Drive and NO PARKING on the lower half of Centennial Drive or at the pump house. Vehicles will be towed away at the owner’s expense.
